Microneedling with PRF | Jupiter, FL | Care Esthetics
Microneedling is a popular cosmetic procedure for treating age spots, fine linens and wrinkles, reducing pore size, acne scars, and other skin irregularities, including those caused by sun exposure. At CARE Esthetics we strive to deliver the best microneedling Jupiter has to offer. When combined with Platelet-rich-fibrin (PRF) injections, microneedling with PRF takes your skin to a whole new level. Learn more about this remarkable treatment from Dr. Richard Miron, one of the first providers to perform PRP/PRF in conjunction with other therapies. Dr. Miron is considered a leader in PRP / PRF modalities and is sought-after worldwide for his expertise.
In order to improve the appearance of your skin, microneedling uses tiny needles to puncture the epidermis with microscopic holes. This then elicits a wound healing response similar, which helps to re-establish cells at the molecular level. This technique can be performed with PRF into these treated areas to further enhance your results by tightening your skin, smoothing wrinkles and fine lines, evening out your skin tone (even chronic melasma), reducing your pores, and eliminating stretch marks and acne scars.
Platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) contains supra-physiological doses of platelets and is a second generation of Platelet-rich-plasma (PRP). Once extracted and processed from your blood, it releases growth factors over an extended period of time when compared to PRP, resulting in a prolonged rejuvenation for cosmetic, joint, and hair restoration treatments.
Similar to PRP treatments, Microneedling generates channels for the PRF to be absorbed and increases the penetration and functionality of the PRF. In addition, other products such as serums and moisturizers can lend additional benefits by absorbing deeper into your skin. As the healing reaction of your skin takes place, growth factors are released, which stimulates your body's naturally occurring collagen production—helping keep your skin supple and smooth.
Women and men in good health who wish to minimize the appearance of their fine lines and wrinkles, improve collagen production, or combat scars from acne or other injuries are ideal candidates for microneedling.
Your provider will take your blood and place it in a PRF tube to spin in a centrifuge. Because PRF tubes do not contain any chemicals and are processed at a slower speed than PRP tubes, the majority of the cells are better concentrated towards the top.
Then, using a syringe, your provider extracts the PRF and injects it into your selected treatment areas. Then your provider glides the microneedling device over your skin, causing tiny micro punctures in your skin. Your body perceives this "damage" as a wound, thus quick starting the healing process. At this point, PRF ‘feeds’ your cells for significant results of smoother, firmer, and more supple skin.
You may notice some redness and swelling after your treatment. However, most Jupiter microneedling patients are able to return to their daily activities in 24-48 hours. It is critical to limit sun exposure and avoid using harsh cleansers or other treatments on your skin. Once your skin has healed, you are advised to use a broad-spectrum sunscreen daily. Avoid vigorous activity that includes profuse sweating following your treatment to reduce your increased risk of edema or bruising.
Once your skin heals, you will see noticeable results and improvement in the tone and texture of your skin. However, your skin continues to improve in the following weeks and months as your collagen production is kickstarted. Depending on your treatment plan, your provider may recommend additional sessions to maintain your optimal results.

To keep you comfortable during your microneedling with PRF treatment, your provider may apply a topical anesthetic about one hour prior.
Microneedling with PRF has minimal risks linked with the therapy. However, it is still not recommended for pregnant or nursing women. Additionally, if you have lupus or vitiligo, you may develop lesions or encounter unwanted side effects.
The cost of your treatment may vary based on the microneedling therapy you choose (PRP vs. PRF), the number of areas you have treated, and any extra serums you require. Your provider will go through your treatment plan and break down the cost during your appointment.
Microneedling with PRF is a cosmetic treatment and is not typically covered by medical insurance.
There are several key distinctions between platelet-rich plasma (PRP) and platelet-rich fibrin (PRF). While both are used in regenerative treatments,PRF tubes have no chemical additives. In addition, PRF has a fibrin matrix and it is spun slower than PRP—making the final growth factors more concentrated than PRP. As a result, PRF growth factors take longer to release following your treatments, enabling prolonged regenerative effects. Please speak with one of our specialists to determine which non-surgical therapy is ideal for your skin concerns.
